Health checklist – midlife

  • Talk to your doctor about reproductive health: family planning, fertility, contraception, perimenopause and menopause
  • Pap test and pelvic exam every three years
  • Blood pressure tested at least once a year
  • Check your own skin for changes that may suggest skin cancer once a month; have your doctor check your skin once annually
  • Blood sugar testing every three years starting at age 40
  • Mammogram every two years starting at age 50
  • Colon cancer screening starting at age 50
