My health priorities:

Health checklist – mature

  • Blood pressure tested in the last 12 months
  • Blood sugar test at least every three years; more frequently if you have a risk of diabetes
  • Cholesterol test at least every three to five years
  • Mammogram every two years
  • Pap test every three years
  • Colon cancer screening every two to 10 years, depending on the type of test
  • Bone density testing starting at age 65
  • Check your own skin for changes that may suggest skin cancer once a month; have your doctor check your skin once annually
  • After age 65, get vaccinated for pneumonia and shingles
